Stuntwomen's Association of Motion Pictures

Professional Stuntwoman for Hire.

There are stunt performers… and then there’s Dorenda Moore.

With 24 years in the industry, a Daytime Emmy, and more than 200 screen credits to her name, Dorenda isn’t just part of the action—she’s designing it. Whether she’s crashing into a wall, doubling a leading lady, or directing a full-blown fight sequence, her work speaks for itself.

You’ve likely seen her in motion, even if you didn’t know it. As a trusted female stunt double, Dorenda has stood in for Winona Ryder more than once, including in Mr. Deeds, Star Trek, and Lost Souls. Her work doubling Anna Faris in House Bunny and The Hot Chick gave her the chance to blend comedy and choreography—no easy feat when wire rigs and stair falls are involved.

When it comes to movie stunt expert credentials, Dorenda’s resume is stacked. She dove into sci-fi chaos in Thor, battled undead in Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension, and helped build the fantasy world of Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. Each time, she worked as part of an elite stunt team, collaborating with 2nd Unit, cast, and crew to make the impossible look effortless.

But it's not just the high-profile doubling or creature performance that sets her apart—Dorenda has also carved out space as a professional stunt performer and leader behind the camera. In 2010, she became the first and only female stunt coordinator to receive a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Stunt Coordination. That recognition came on the heels of her Screen Actors Guild Stunt Ensemble Award win for Star Trek and a pair of Taurus World Stunt Award nominations for “Best Overall Stunt by a Stuntwoman.”

Her influence runs even deeper. As a proud member of the Stuntwomen’s Association of Motion Pictures, Dorenda spent seven years representing her peers as a Governor of the Television Academy’s Stunt Peer Group. She’s also coordinated action film stunts on shows like Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight and led teams on everything from music videos to national commercials.

She’s a film and television professional who’s not only survived the industry’s toughest days but helped shape what safety, creativity, and teamwork look like on a film stunt crew. And she’s still in the game—training, planning, building fight beats, and showing the next generation how to make it all look real, without ever being reckless.
